privacy policy

Our Core Commitment
At freeConvertmd.com, we believe that you should not have to choose between utility and data privacy. Our core policy is simple: we do not collect, store, transmit, or share your documents or text data.
How We Process Data
All document conversions, whether PDF-to-Markdown or HTML-to-Markdown, are executed **locally inside your web browser**.
- No Uploads: When you select a PDF file or paste text, the browser reads it directly from your device using JavaScript API sandboxes. No packets are transmitted to our server or any API endpoint.
- Sandboxed execution: The converted markdown data is compiled and temporarily stored in your local browser runtime memory. As soon as you reload or close the tab, this memory buffer is cleared.
Third-Party CDNs
To ensure quick load times, this site uses Cloudflare and cdnjs CDNs to cache libraries such as `pdf.js` and `marked.js`. These CDNs do not receive your documents or text data; they only deliver the static scripts needed to compile the application in your browser.
Contact
Since we store absolutely no user accounts or files, there is no personal data database. For questions regarding the open-source libraries or styling, please contact us via our site domain or the project's repository.
